Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of years, you’ll have been exposed to the global debate surrounding Artificial Intelligence and its potential capacity to replace human employees.

How to Embrace Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace
Instead of lying down in the road and waiting to be replaced, employees should start to take action by shifting their existing skills to work alongside Artificial Intelligence, using it to their advantage and making themselves irreplaceable.
There’s one skill that even the smartest Artificial Intelligence will never be able to replicate… creativity. Freedom of thought and the ability to innovate is wholly human, making it the human workforce’s biggest asset. Where possible, you should be reassigning menial, repetitive tasks to Artificial Intelligence and benefiting from the extra time it affords you. In the Marketing, Digital, and Technology spaces, this additional creativity will be priceless. Plus, who wouldn’t eagerly hand over their admin if they were given the opportunity?
If you’re someone who is pretty sure their entire job could be performed by an Artificial Intelligence program, you need to start pursuing a back-up plan. One of the best ways you can obtain job security is by signing yourself up to training courses and learning new skills. Imagine, for example, that you’re a Copywriter. With just a few brushes of a keyboard, anyone can now generate a reasonably well-constructed article using ChatGPT. However, someone still has to read through the content produced by Artificial Intelligence, editing the Tone of Voice to match their brand’s guidelines, optimising it for SEO, and fact-checking every statement. Why couldn’t that be you? Before you know it, you could be climbing up the career ladder.
It can be embarrassing to ask for help when you’re struggling but, ultimately, it’s the best way to receive the support you need. The introduction of Artifical Intelligence to the workplace shouldn’t be scary. It’s there to benefit you, not add to your troubles. If you’ve been overwhelmed with the expectations of your seniors (or the standards you set for yourself), take a moment to consider the options available to you.
