Digital Account Director – Global Account – Leading Content Marketing Agency

This world leading content marketing agency is looking for a Digital Account Director to join two of its growing accounts. The ideal candidate will be someone who is experienced in working with global consumer brands, 21st century media-savvy, enthusiastic, motivated and thrives under pressure.

The client, headquartered in Amsterdam, employs approximately 47k people in around 80 countries while its portfolio includes well-known household brands. They sell more than 40 million products to customers in 150 countries every year.

Key areas of the role include CRM, UX Consultancy, Insight & Strategy, Content Campaign Design & Digital & Rich Content Creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Handling

  • Working with the Senior Account Director and Account Executive to manage the day-to-day operation of the accounts and key stakeholders.
  • Working with various stakeholders across the project and incremental campaigns.
    Proactively assess processes within the project to ensure it is operating effectively for the client and the team.
  • Ensure regular communication with clients (and markets) in the form of updates, face-to-face contact
    Work to create positive and professional relationships with the clients

 

Internal Responsibilities:

1. Staff/Team

Work with the commercial, planning, creative and digital teams in taking and responding to client briefs.

  • Work with the Senior Account Director and the Head of Creative Delivery to ensure all projects are efficiently delivered, the work is of the highest quality, the client is delighted and budgets are met.
  • Work with the Senior Account Director and Head of Creative Delivery to manage timescale and resources for each project.
  • Liaise with all relevant staff to ensure there is complete understanding of the time plan and individual requirements.
  • Ensure there is co-operation and clear communication between all the team (including freelance staff) in order to meet consistency of content and to meet planned deadlines.
  • Help motivate and support the team, ensuring awareness of each personal responsibility and of the wider objectives of the whole account.

 

2. Finance

  • Log and process all invoices, ensuring they’re clearly marked up and signed off against the freelancer/contributor/third-party budgets.
  • Contribs spend: update and manage cost-tracker, monitor spend, input and check all invoices against budget.
  • Expenses: allocate to relevant pots and ensure they are received by accounts so payment can be made promptly.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues with outstanding invoices.
  • Create quotes for incremental business with the support of the Senior Account Director.
  • Ensure all freelance forms are completed and approve by finance.
  • Work closely with the Senior Account Director on budgeting and monthly forecasting.

 

3. Media and Planning

  • Work closely with the creative and planning teams to stay up to speed with competitor analysis and the wider marketing and media landscape for best-practice and innovations
