Snr Advertising Sales Account Manager – Retail / Travel & Tourism

This is a fine opportunity to join a growing and innovative company, who is a clear market leader in the travel & tourism-publishing niche with plans for future expansion in the UK and continental Europe.

Their portfolio caters for visitors of all nationalities to the UK’s capital. They are perfectly positioned at the centre of the UK and London’s tourism publishing industry and their titles have a combined circulation of nearly 5 million per year.

They are looking to make an appointment on a title, which targets the most affluent of visitors. The key sectors being premium retail; men’s tailoring, watches, jewellery, luggage and the like, brands that wish to target high net worth overseas and domestic visitors.

Your Profile:

A seasoned and professional sales person, who is able to add value whilst delivering revenue. A clear thinker, self-motivating with excellent interpersonal, presentation and most importantly negotiation skills, this position is integral to the future success of the clients London operation.

You’ll have:

  • Ideally, 3-4 years in magazine advertising sales, with experience of selling across a diverse portfolio
  • Knowledge of retail sector and selling to this specific category preferred
  • Advertising agency contact
  • 60% prospecting, biz /20% account servicing/20% networking/admin
  • Experience of selling across digital platforms – web, mobile
  • Assertive, professional sales-driven approach to business
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
  • Positive outlook at all times, able to represent the company in a highly professional manner
  • Excellent organisational, administration and computer (MS Office) skills
  • Team player, able to lead from the frontline
  • A passion for print + an understanding of companion on line web components
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and hard working, with a stable personality and mature outlook on life.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; evidence of having developed strong and productive relationships with blue chip client base
  • Exceptional drive and ambition and a huge desire to succeed.
  • A willingness to immerse themselves in this luxury consumer title within the Travel  publishing market and deliver immediate results

 

 You’ll receive:

  • Competitive base & OTE, company iphone, 25 days holiday, private health/dental (upon completion of 12 months)
  • Hours – Monday – Friday, 9.30-6pm – 1 hr lunch break(after hours networking required at times)
  • Expenses  – submitted to GSMD on a regular basis
  • OTE commission plan
