Sales Manager – B2B Directory & Supplements – Legal Sector.

This well established and respected company that delivers essential training, information and knowledge to organisations and professionals across the legal sector are now looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead the Directory and Supplements team and be responsible for their market leading brands

The Role:

To lead the Directory and Supplements team, responsible for nurturing and growing existing client relationships across multiple platforms including directory sales and magazine sales across both print and digital streams. The team are also responsible for generating new business revenue streams within specific specialist verticals. Reporting in to the Head of Sales, the Sales Manager is primarily responsible for executing sales strategy and growing revenues.

You will implement KPI’s, oversee sales plans and be able to coach the team through negotiations, ultimately over achieving on set targets.

Key responsibilities:-

  • Coach team through high level, engaging  sales
  • Maintain and grow existing account revenue lines, up selling across multiple platforms under your control
  • Grow new business revenues staying ahead of market, regulatory and product developments
  • Recruiting and training staff
  • Ongoing monitoring of staff performance / Meaningful KPI management
  • Maintain and supervise account management charter for the team
  • Reporting and Forecasting to Head of Sales, maintaining accurate pipeline updates
  • Contribute to product development ongoing
  • Keep up to speed with competitors and other macro influencers within the markets being operated in

 

 Your Profile

  • Experience selling and managing print & digital media.
  • Previous revenue responsibility of a portfolio with more than one brand / media channel
  • Intelligent / Intuitive
  • Experience of nurturing careers
  • Flexible management style, ability to run a team of differing skill sets
  • Positive can do attitude / championing brand and products
  • Demonstrable strong commercial acumen
  • Experience of managing a team of at least 3 members
  • Positive / enthusiastic manner
  • Engaging style to both account management and team leadership skills
  • Strong balance between management and leadership skills to organise and inspire
  • Self motivated / self starter

 

Desirable skills and experience:- 

  • Legal market experience
  • Maintained and established legal network

 

Education / Certification:-

  • Be educated at least to degree level (or equivalent) (Legal, Economics, Business Studies, Finance, Politics, International Studies or similar an advantage)
