Relationship Manager – Management Mentoring & C-Suite Networking.

This client offers a community for senior business leaders, a unique membership organisation, exclusively for board directors and reports to the board. They are in their 11th year and have a membership across all sectors, from private equity, large private companies, AIM, FTSE 250, and now 60% of the FTSE 100. 45% of our Members are CEOs of both subsidiaries and listed plc boards.

They are a fast-growing, agile company, constantly looking for solutions to deliver a high level of customer service to our members. Based in London, they have a growing international membership and have recently opened an office in Hong Kong.

They take pride in delivering a personal, bespoke service to their members within a vibrant business community.

They are seeking a Relationship Manager to manage a portfolio of Members. You will report to the Senior Relationship Manager, working across three internal teams covering publicly listed companies, public sector organisations and private equity backed companies until eventually settling into one team.

The ideal candidate will be a creative team player with a good knowledge of business and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Objectives

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of a select group of CEOs, Non-Executive Directors and other senior individuals from FTSE, AIM, private equity, Small Cap, global corporations and public sector organisations. Typical members are responsible for company turnover between £50m and £2bn
  • Ensure membership renewals. Renewals are a key contributor to the total revenue of the company

 

Responsibilities:

Client Services

  • Build and maintain close relationships with your clients, ensuring you understand their business and career objectives, providing a first-class service
  • Create and facilitate a bespoke programme of support to each member in a timely fashion
  • Meet and call your members regularly. Meetings will take place in London and around the UK
  • Monitor the mentoring service for each member: ensure meetings take place on a regular basis, that notes/feedback are submitted by the mentor and the member is deriving value from the experience
  • Instigate relevant one-to-one connections between members
  • Implement all communication with members and liaise with their assistants when necessary

 

Teamwork

  • Liaise with Editorial, Marketing and Advisory Partnership teams on event programming and connections
  • Liaise with the Business Development Managers to ensure a smooth handover of new members and in turn pass on new member referrals.
  • Work with the events team to ensure the smooth running of events

  • Ability to engage with senior executives across a broad spectrum of industries and functions with maturity, insightful thought and good judgment
  • A natural ability to sell in a diplomatic, professional and friendly manner
  • Self motivated and able to work in a team effectively
  • Able to think creatively, eg, creating what may appear to be ‘counter-intuitive’ networking connections
  • Proactive and able to develop the service offering
  • Excellent time management skills and great at multi-tasking
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Target focused

Fully conversant with Microsoft and good overall computer skills including typing

Their offices are in Battersea, South West London. You will regularly attend and participate in events with decision-makers and Thought Leaders from some of the world’s pre-eminent companies, business schools and consultancies. You will also attend their annual company ‘Strategy Week’ where you will be encouraged to think in an entrepreneurial manner, contribute to the strategy of the company and work as part of a team.
