This client is creating content strategy and creative that delivers results for brands.
They work with their clients across many sectors – from banking to retail, automotive to technology. They create and deliver content in multiple media channels, from video, to print, to social media.
The role:
You will be a senior lead as Account Director on this busy CRM & eCRM account. You’ll be involved with every aspect of running the campaigns, writing creative briefs, managing timings and the budget, to delivery. You will have strong account management and digital experience and be used to working in a fast past and creative agency.
You will report into the Business Director and have two direct reports, an Account Manager and a Junior Account Manager.
You:
- Strong experience in an Account Director role with digital experience
- Good understanding of Web and database marketing technology
- Highly analytical and used to a data driven approach
- Experience with other online technologies is a plus
- Previous experience managing email marketing activity
- Keen interest in popular culture, including TV and Movies
- Comfortable reporting on campaigns using various analytics tools

KEY TASKS – MAIN |
1. Content creation and delivery- Oversee ongoing e-crm programme
- Oversee all other ad-hoc projects
- Work with Business Director on pitch process for new business opportunities
- Ensure creative team are focussed, motivated and meeting client deadlines
- Ensure all briefs are received on time and client is meeting deadlines
- Brief in work to editorial team and agree schedule of deliverables
- Ensure all content meets client brief and tone of voice
- Manage approval process with client and various stakeholders
- Share amends with the Managing Editor who is responsible for filing
- Ensure delivery of final files to relevant departments or agencies
- Maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders and agencies
- Lead weekly status meetings with clients
- Attend monthly all agency status meetings
2. Budget Responsibility - Support the Business Director in preparing, negotiating and agreeing annual budget that satisfies contribution criteria
- Mastermind internal budgets so that accounts are accurate up-to-date and analytical
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding revenue targets
- Communicate budgets to relevant spenders, monitor spend on budgets, ensure budgets are met.
- Ensure analysis of accounts is carried out and the results are reflected in forecasts and budgets
- Meet regularly with accounts to ensure accounting issues are investigated and resolved
- Ensure all projects are on budget and as efficient as possible
- Establish and maintain billing processes, invoicing and forecasting
- Ensure additional projects are charged accurately, providing quotes and offers
- Oversee freelance spend: manage and monitor spend, checking invoices against budget
- Invoices must be clearly marked up and signed off against freelancer/contributors/recharge budgets and passed on to the Junior Account Manager for processing
- Manage freelance budgets and scheduling for the team
- Investigate and resolve any issues with outstanding invoices
3. Leadership - Actively manage and monitor team morale. If issues are identified these need to be resolved (short term or long term)
- Encourage an open, proactive problem-solving atmosphere within the group; for example open discussion of issue on floor or dealing with issues in a calm and supportive way
- Assess team’s training needs and allocate relevant training courses to all staff members. Work with Staff Relations to ensure training is timely
- Line manager for Account Manager and Junior Account Manager. Ensure training and development for both as appropriate
4. Performance - Oversee the day to day running of all projects ensuring deadlines are met and the work is carried out according to brief
- Monitor and assess time spent on each project, approval round, and amends. Analyse of time sheet reports and discuss with Business Director to constantly improve upon ways of working
- Ensure all timesheets are completed by the team
- Establish efficient workflows and process for the different projects. Monitor these processes and if necessarily find new ways of working
