This studio is an integrated creative agency for the age of authenticity. They are responsible for creating a wide and diverse range of global, omnichannel, through-the-line content and creative for two of the world’s biggest brands.
About the role
The client is looking for an experienced Content Director to work across multiple B2B workstreams on this fast-growth b2b tech & broadcast account.
This is a key role, and as such, they are looking for someone who has at least five years of conceptual and executional experience in creating B2B and consumer content in various formats and across all channels. No two days will be the same, but on any given day the role will include:
Concepting creative ideas that are strategically sound, innovative and respond to a diverse mix of client briefs
Crafting a story in a deck (Google Slides), showing your thinking from strategy through to execution in a way that’s presentable, clear, and compelling
Presenting concepts to clients confidently – able to accept criticism but also defend ideas
Working with the Strategy and Planning team to build out the creative approach and ideas based on insights
Stress-testing briefs, both internal and from clients, to ensure work is strategically aligned and exceeds client expectations
Commissioning and editing long-form articles and social copy, ensuring both quality and alignment to house style
An eye for detail and ability to get into the ‘weeds’ on complex B2B subjects and bring them to life
Working with the Art team to develop creative in different formats, across different channels
Composing messaging frameworks and narrative decks
Writing medium and long-form articles
Writing video scripts, ranging from 6 seconds to 60 seconds-plus
Social media copywriting, for Twitter and LinkedIn
Building sales messaging and decks for internal client teams
Conducting interviews, including with those working within specialist sectors of Search, Automation and Media buying and planning.
Is an integrated creative hybrid – both a writer/editor and a rounded creative
Has B2B experience – working within the advertising/media industry a plus (eg
Has an impressive portfolio of work for leading brands, with a broad range of creative
(and the results to show for it)
Can write across the spectrum from print ad headlines to video scripts to white papers
Has experience building relationships with clients and can present and defend work
Has either/both journalistic or agency experience. This could be a creative agency,
content agency, ad agency, publisher, etc
Is strategically minded and works well with planning and strategy teams to build ideas
from strong insights
Understands the worlds of tech and B2B marketing
Is comfortable with a fast-paced environment, tight deadlines and challenging briefs
Is as happy being hands-on as coming up with big ideas
Can advise junior members of the team on their creative work
They’d also like to see:
Close collaboration with the ECD, Creative Directors and senior editorial team on a wide range of projects, including articles, social, video, digital, print and more
Real initiative and drive; someone who wants to create the best work they can
A nose for a story; whether it’s finding the most newsworthy angle in machine learning or
digging out the most exciting industry leaders to interview
A team player who is comfortable being part of a friendly, collaborative and close-knit
