Business Development Manager – Market leading Out of Home Advertising Media Co.

The Company

This dynamic, fun & forward thinking Media Company are looking for a BDM to join their Soho-based Sales Team.

The Role

You will be responsible for selling Out of Home advertising space to small and medium-sized businesses. Your team will sell to a broad range of clients spanning public and private sectors. These clients could be anyone from large regional businesses with complex needs, through to smaller local businesses purchasing targeted campaigns.

You will report to an Area Sales Manager and be part of a team of 10 Business Development Managers. Supported by your manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing new prospects in local markets.
  • Developing local market intelligence.
  • Developing and managing existing clients. 
This is an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in the growth of the Direct Sales business.

 

This job is for you if:

  • You are a motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast- paced environment.
  • You have proven new business and field sales experience, preferably with a local or regional focus.
  • Ideally, you will have first-hand experience within a media environment.
  • You have a strong track record in creating and growing new markets – as well as developing the value of an existing customer base.
  • You’re a confident communicator – with clients and colleagues.
  • You’re resilient and able to maintain professional standards.
  • You’re organised and able to manage and interpret information and sales data.
  • You’re a creative thinker and enjoy developing solutions to complex problems.
  • You’re comfortable with MS Office suite and CRM tools.
  • Finally, you’re a confident user of social media – using it gain local market intelligence.

Great relationships with clients are vital to the success of the role. You will also need to build relationships within the local media and business community as well as with their partner agencies.

  • Marketing teams
  • Sales Operations
  • Fellow Business Development Managers
