Business Development Manager – Digital Marketing Content

This leading multimedia news & content agency is now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their newly formed corporate digital marketing content division. Due to their success in 2012 they are now looking to further bolster the team, to both service the demand of this very buoyant and developing market place and to be an integral part in them further cementing their dominance in supplying innovative digital marketing content.

The Company

They work with customers across the media industry including national and regional newspapers, magazines, TV and radio broadcasters and digital platforms supplying a wide range of content and editorial services ranging from international sports data, comprehensive entertainment guides and photo syndication to editorial training and weather forecasting.

The Role: Business Development Manager – Corporate Digital Content Marketing.
The corporate digital team is charged with providing bespoke digital content exclusively to the corporate market spanning an array of potential companies from Travel to Finance. It´s an exciting and expanding part of the company, which operates in a growing, market.
More businesses are seeing the value in digital content to engage and communicate to their markets, allocating more budget to the creation of compelling, engaging content as part of the digital marketing strategy. Backed by their heritage in journalism and quality content creation, they are aptly placed to provide such as service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining growth across the various market sectors by managing and evolving existing relationships, but more importantly, developing new opportunities

Your Profile:
The successful candidate will ideally have a working knowledge of the digital landscape and able to communicate effectively, presenting to Marketing, CEO, Web Content Managers/ Directors.
Crucially, the ideal candidate must demonstrate a genuinely consultative sales manner and a detailed understanding of the sales process.

Responsibilities including;

  • Expansion of business within various markets such as Pharmaceuticals, Travel, Finance, FMCG etc.
  • Identify prospective clients and present compelling content strategy idea´s
  • Retention and expansion of existing business
  • The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
  • The ability to understand and respond effectively to tenders and related sales documents
  • Understand the general digital content industry, it´s challenges and benefits
  • The ability to identify new opportunities and then bring elements of the product to match the needs of the client
  • A consultative sales manner with a firm grasp of the sales process
  • A desire to work as a part of a sales team including close liaison with technical, editorial and legal departments.
  • Would suit candidates with proven commercial experience in the following backgrounds: Content Marketing, Business/Data Insight, Digital Advertising, Email Marketing.
  • Package – to 32k Basic + uncapped commission structure + quarterly bonuses.
  • 25 Days Holiday Allowance/ Healthcare / Pension/ Dental.
