Content Editor – Leading Global Content Agency

This Global Content Marketing Agency is looking for a part-time content editor to work four days a week in their B2B division.

Working closely with project managers, strategists and designers, you’ll spend your time figuring out how to turn cold facts into compelling strategic content – researching, idea-generating, writing, editing and proof-reading copy for a variety of interesting global markets. One day you could be writing an animation script for a new product. The next you could be editing content for the landing page of a global website, seen by thousands of people every week.

Visual literacy is important for this role – you understand how design works with copy and vice versa. The right person will be quick, nimble, and creative with the ability to work to tight deadlines, getting to grips with detailed business information.

Experience

  • 5+ years of writing and editing branded content for digital platforms
  • 1+ years in B2B communications
  • Experience of proofing or sub-editing to house style
  • Used to working with designers and other creatives
  • Journalism (NCTJ-qualified) background would be an advantage

  • Able to build engaging and strategic copy from dry facts
  • Can collate material from multiple sources and condense
  • Has attention to detail and checks for accuracy
  • Stays ‘on message’ and ‘in-house style’
  • Can unpack and interrogate a brief
  • Can work fast without compromising on quality to meet tight deadlines
  • Takes the initiative to conduct research and generate new ideas
  • An organised multi-tasker who can plan ahead
  • Is happy to work directly with clients
  • An understanding of UX is an advantage
  • Some basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, IDD and HTML would be preferred
